James E. Hagedorn, DVM, Diplomate ABVPVeterinary medicine runs in Dr. Hagedorn’s family, as his father was a mixed-animal (both small and large) practitioner—as such, he grew up with farm calls and remembers helping build his father’s animal hospital in Northern Iowa. In all, he has a perspective of over 60 years of intimate watching and caring for of animals.

Dr. Hagedorn’s goal with every patient visit is to meet each caregiver and pet and to determine keeping the pet as pain free as possible. He always offers options in offering the most appropriate veterinary care.

Dr. Hagedorn has a close relationship with Brody, his little Border Terrier. His extended family includes the gift of many amazing dogs and cats that he has had the privilege of caring for over the years.
